I co-chaired HESPA’s Family Homelessness subcommittee. I convened and organized meetings, led agenda items on important issues concerning family homelessness in San Francisco, and represented family homelessness issues during general HESPA meetings.

CAMPAIGN MANAGER // Silicon Valley City Council Race // 2016

I was a volunteer campaign manager for a city council race in Silicon Valley. I managed a majority of campaign aspects, including: campaign strategy, political strategy, fundraising, direct mail design, web design, online and written communications, social media, policy platform development, and talking points.

V.P. OF POLICY // Democratic Activists for Women Now // 2014-2015

I manage all policy-related endorsement requests, including: local/state/federal legislative bills, ballot measures, and initiatives, as well as issue-based campaigns with significant impacts on women’s rights. I also produce and submit all legislative/policy reports, memorandums, and letters of support/opposition on behalf of the DAWN Executive Board. To date, I have written 5 policy letters, including supporting access to 12-month contraceptive prescriptions and inclusion of women surfers in top surfing competitions in California.

V.P. OF COMMUNICATIONS // City of Santa Clara Democratic Club // 2015-2016

I facilitate all meetings and manage all endorsement requests for local/state/federal candidates and ballot measures/initiatives related to the City of Santa Clara. I also developed and regularly produce all communications, including: e-mail newsletters, calls to action, website, and social media.

LEGISLATION COMMITTEE CO-CHAIR // California Democratic Party // 2014

I was co-chair of the Legislation Committee and chair of the Federal Legislation subcommittee. I co-led conference calls and reviewed, researched, and prepared endorsement recommendations for over 20 federal legislative bills.

BOARDMEMBER // Bay Area Asian Pacific American Legislative Staffers // 2012-Present

Bay Area Asian Pacific American Legislative Staffers is a unique organization whose mission is to create and nurture a pipeline of Asian American legislative and government staff through a series of professional development workshops, networking events, and job seeker assistance. I assist in coordinating team conference calls and meetings for strategic planning, as well as organizing and volunteering for annual fundraising, educational, and networking events. I am also the creator and manager of all social media and online accounts.
